i am going to the mountain goats show in norman on sunday at the opolis. it is going to roooole. anyone in the oklahoma area should go. i’ll be in norman until the next weekend. going to try to catch a showing of sin city while i am down there. tulsa has the weirdest weather. it was the most amazingly perfect day outside yesterday. i rode my brother in law ‘s bike to one of those chain bookstore and sat in their cafe for hours destroying my stomach with coffee and stuffing my eyeballs with magazines. i got a bit of inking done too while i was there. i’m sure the people that work there hate me. which is sad for me because of course i have a crush on one of the coffee shop girls. right after i got home there was this insane storm outside. i hit mute on the music and listened to the rain and hail. good day.

a few nights ago my sister’s dog somehow managed to puke under the covers on my bed. a fact i had the pleasure of discovering right before sleep overtook me and directly after my feet were fully submerged in vomit. yay. earlier that day that detestable beast got into the garbage and ate more than her fill of birthday party refuse, including enormous amounts of candy, chocolate (disaster for dogs), and birthday cake soaked paper plates. yes, she eats paper. after stripping the bed and performing the cleanup operation i finally managed to fall asleep a few hours later at around 11 am or so, my anger abated….somewhat. my five year old niece said that she heard the torrent of curse words that i was screaming through the walls. poor kid. my sleep schedule is so messed up. i can’t seem to get back to a healthy routine of waking up at noon. the next day i went to see a show at cain’s ballroom: ash, the bravery, and aquaduct. i met some cool people but left through the last set (sorry, wasn’t too into aquaduct’s brand of party rock). i drove home feeling empty and burnt on being around people, poured a glass of makers, drank a beer, and put on the coachwhips. despite my best efforts i couldn’t finish the one glass of whisky. it seems like i have almost completely lost my love of drink, both a sad and a good thing i guess. lately i have been feeling very apathetic about everything. but it doesn’t bother me….and that sort of bothers me. it is all probably because i am not sleeping properly. so here’s an idea that will maybe kick my butt a little. i am thinking about doing a small silkscreen of emily and sinclair. see sketch idea below:

it will probably be around 4″ x 10″, two colors. once i get some done i’ll post something on here. i owe a few of thank you cards for the birthday gifts and for being awesome. once i finish them, which should be in the next few weeks i will let you doods know.
then hey check this out. there is this news i swiped off the
meathaus site.

Dash Shaw will be signing copies of his new book Love Eats Brains, and Jim Campbell will be signing Krachmacher at Jim Hanley’s Universe (across the street from the Empire State Building) this friday March 25th at 6 pm. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to get your books signed. Ok, so you may have other opportunities, but this is surely the only opportunity that is taking place on friday March 25th. Be there. In any case Jim Hanley’s is an awesome comic shop, and you can stock up on zines, Captain America comics, Little Orphan Annie Hardcover Books and Monty Python dolls while you are there.”

both of those soft spoken artist types are stellar cartoonists and smashing chaps. enjoy them-.
