Between Me and the Ground
by

Hey everybody, i just did this weird little acrylic painting on the back of my new sketchbook.
I like it.
San diego comic con is coming up soon and the excellent comic shop in Canada, the beguiling
will be there selling some of my original comic art. I just sent them some of my newer stuff including the magic spell story and pages from my Meathaus s.o.s. photogoloctica story.
I’d like to go to san diego but can’t really swing a plane ticket.
Does anyone know of anyone driving down from Portland that has an extra seat in their car? I could pitch in for gas of course.
Looking around the internets a couple of days ago I saw this post on tom neely’s blog. Apparently my book, pop gun war made wizard magazines “Top 25 Indie Books of All Time” list a few months back. It’s Wizard Magazine #211 Platinum Edition.
brett warnock’s (mr. Top shelf) twin peak’s theme sketchbook.

I also recently did a commission for john q adams’ silverfish collection

I am still available for commissions please email me at fareldalrymple@yahoo.com for rates. okay, now i’ll get back to coloring the wrenchies.
ttfn.
i really like that sketchbook backcover…real desperation in that reaching hand. looking forward to the next time i can sit and go through your sketchbooks, might be my favorite part of all this comicteering.
Wow, the Twin Peaks sketch is awesome.
I really love the series finale, very creepy.
i don’t draw in my sketchbook too much these days. too busy on the wrenchies. but there is a new meathaus sketchbook collection coming out soon. go for the gold 3. more on that soon.
and thank you, sir.
thanks. yeah, maybe i should have put a spoiler alert on that drawing. that ending was so screwed up. doing that sketch made me want to watch all those episodes again.
That Twin Peaks thing is awesome. So much good source material there. What would I do? the girls with their arms behind their heads? Laura Palmer washing up on the beach? The Black Lodge? Leo beating up Shelly? So much good scenes.
yeah, i had a hard time deciding. there were a lot of black lodge drawings and laura palmers wrapped in plastic. jim rugg did an amazing agent cooper. i wanted to draw bobby briggs because he was my favorite but i couldn’t think of a good scene of him. so i went with one that i found disturbing. yeah, you should hit brett warnock up for the sketchbook if you see him. i’d like to see your twin peaks drawing for sure.
man, i really like that david lynch.
Congrats on the Wizard listing, that’s pretty cool. I also dig the Twin Peaks sketch. I did one for mister Warnock too, but is was not quite as imaginative as I am not that familiar with the show.
i remember seeing you in there. you did an excellent agent cooper. “black as midnight on a moonless night.”
you should watch all the episodes in a row. or at least the first season. it is great.
I think the best visual of Bobby was right at the beginning, when he and his friend were barking through the jail cell at James. That, or when his family sat down to dinner before the funeral; the contrast between his biker jacket and his dad in full uniform in a clean house was good.
yeah, i just watched the pilot a couple nights ago. that barking bobby would have been good. i like bobby’s dad a lot. that would have been a good one too. damn.
that was me. forgot to log in.
ooh, yeah, that Twin Peaks drawing is great! That scene just breaks my heart..
I think I would draw Audrey dancing at the Double R Diner. Audrey is a babe.
