happy birthday to me

i did that doggy painting for a friend of mine that is making a movie named peacock.

today is my birthday. i am 37 just like Dennis in that monty python movie.
i have been pretty busy plugging away on the wrenchies, but a bunch of stuff has gone on since i last put something up here.
Some exciting news is that i will be at the stumptown comics fest. Stumptown is the indie friendly comics show here in porltand, oregon. This year it will be held on april 18th and 19th. It is a really nice show. please come by and say hi if you are in town.
Jeff Smith is the featured guest. The coordinators of the show asked me to do the poster. I am quite a fan of Mr. Smith so i decided to use his Characters (mostly) for the image. I haven’t seen the finished poster with text and everything but here is the image i did :

A couple months back I did a funny 8 page comic with zack whedon for Dark Horse Comics Presents/MY space thing.
you have to scroll along the bottom and look for my story which is called, "moist: humidity rising."

I just finished doing another story for DHP that i wrote myself and angry jim campbell
colored. I will let you guys know when that goes live. It is sort of a two-part story. part one appears in the dark horse presents thing and part two will appear in the new FREE issue of nerd burglar called, "bird hurdler." the book is a collaborative publishing project between 3 Portland small presses: Sparkplug Comics
, Tugboat press
, and Teenage Dinosaur
. that will be out for stumptown comics fest and free comic book day. Their are some stellar contributors in that issue too. more to come on that soon.
