i am probably not allowed to show any of the work i have been doing on omega but here is a new penciled page for pop gun war i drew last night.

there is a rumor going around that rocketship might be hosting a meathaus 8: headgames release party on December 29th. i might try to make it out to nyc for that.
i will post some more details later, or keep your eye on the always rad meathaus website for details.
it has been been raining insanely hard here in portland for over a week now. it is starting to depress me a bit. being more than a little tired of wet socks has got me thinking about owing a car again. or doing one of these flexcar things.
i just noticed this on flkr

i have to give my brother in law a heads up.
and here is some more sketchbook crud done in the snazzy new sketch book leland purvis made for me.

hey man, portland rainy season is no joke…try to stay posi.
your sketchbook updates are always a treat.
psyched that theres more pop gun war on the way!
great stuff as always.
i very much like the user picture, too.
and i’m looking forward to Omega!
cool, i’ve been wondering what was going on with pop gun war.
that rocketship party is no rumor, my brutha. Details coming soon!
mindblowing, as always!
wow. incredible as always.
i’m happy to see new pop gun war work being done!
haha. I have a character named Purvis in the new book I’m working on.
I really love your work. Sooo awesome.
cool shit!
I can’t wait to see more Pop Gun Warrrrrrrrr.
I really like the penciled page. It’s really densely textured and layered…all that good stuff.
thanks. i miss seeing you around. you should come out this way sometime.
sweet!!
pretty neat drawings, i’ma add
nice cityscapes
Farel, nice to see your blog, just discovered it. Looking forward to your take on Omega (glad to see you get the paid comics work–mainstream comics need more Farels). Love the way you just bust out with all those rich New York cityscapes like there’s nothing to it.
Jed
so so good
i just wanted to say i think your drawing is impeccable. so much character is driven thru your sketches.
If you’re still in New York, want to hang out?
Sorry to do personal correspondence through the livejournal, I wasn’t certain about your current contact info. Also, I am very regretful at having missed the Meathaus shebang at Rocketship. I am moving back to New York tomorrow, so anytime after that would be totally rad. 646-522-8941 and feel free to delete this after consumption.
