hello out there,

i have a few more book orders to send out tomorrow so if you haven’t received your copy of the pop gun war: chain letter limited edition preview #2 book yet it should be getting to you shortly.
i still have a good chunk of them left so if anyone else wants to order a copy please just click on the paypal button below. thanks!
make sure to tell me in the paypal instructions if you want me to sketch in it otherwise i will just do an unobtrusive signature in the back.
here’s a little sketch i did someones’ book. i thought it was pretty cute so i scanned it and am displaying it for your potential amusement.

i am about to run to floating world comics in a few minutes.
there is a book release party there for my pal ryan alexander tanner tonight from 6-9. come on by if you are in the hood. here are the details:
- WHO: William Ayers and Ryan Alexander-Tanner
- WHAT: Book release and authors’ talk
- WHEN: Sunday, May 23th, 6-9pm, authors’ talk 7-8pm
- WHERE: Floating World Comics, 20 NW 5th Ave #101

i am having a first thursday show next month, june 3rd at floating world comics. i will be there from 6-9 signing copies of the pop gun war preview #2. and as a special thing for the show i am re-printing up a few copies of the first preview i did last year. i am only doing 50 copies of those and they will only be available at the show. so if you missed out on your chance to get the first one you have to come see me to get it now.
it is going to have the same cover image as the first printing but will be a letterpress instead of a silk screen. screen printing all those covers last time myself really beat me up. yeah, i am a wimp. but this way the people that bought the first edition will have a more collectible piece or something. i don’t know. that sounds good, right?
anyway, please come and i will draw in your book.
thanks to everyone who have bought the pop gun war previews. hopefully all the ones i have sent arrived safely to your mailboxes.

and finally, the above spider-man drawing is a panel from a 4-page spider-man and silver surfer story i just finished for strange tales. i am not sure when the story will be out but i will give you all a heads up when i find out. i am actually not sure if i am even supposed to be posting pages from that before it is printed but i figured i could get away with a panel or two. speaking of, all spider-man artwork copyright marvel comics enterprises and all the jazz.

here’s a not-so-great scan of a conan sketch i did for a pal of mine.

the conan pin up that i posted on here a few months back is going to be in a conan comic sonn along with a bunch of other pin ups by rad dudes. i will let you all i know once i find out when that is dropping.
and here’s an old silly sketchbook drawing i don’t believe i have posted before.

talk to y’all soon.
Terrific stuff! Thanks for posting it. Is your color Spiderman stuff done in watercolor?
Dude!
It is really exciting to see you drawing Spiderman.
so good. i will be getting that.
thank you. yeah, it’s all watercolor.
thanks, i got to release a lot of my suppressed rage doing that story.
Man, your use of color keeps amazing me. Those Spider-Man panels are fantastic. Can’t wait to get my hands on the new Strange Tales.
Life is a great big hang-up
I love that Spiderman!
Oh HELL yeah. Can’t wait to see all of that Spider-Man story.
THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Oh my god, Farel. That’s the best Spider-man I’ve seen.
thanks a bunch. coloring is usually pretty fun for me. i’m still not sure when they are putting that out but i will let everyone know once i get the knowledge.
Re: Life is a great big hang-up
thanks david. good old spidey is so stressed out in this story. i would totally lose my mind if i had a secret identity.
thanks derek, i’d dig seeing your take on the wall crawler.
thanks so much.
thanks. i blush. i tried to rip off a little charles vess and a bunch of john buscema. i actually rather obviously stole an entire page from how to draw comics the marvel way.
